Muzzle is square and short. I liked his overall proportions, especially his well-made front. Great tail carriage. Deep chest. He holds a firm level backline. Steady mover. More to come.

Head of correct proportions, large, round dark eyes, padded muzzle, has an amusing, quizzical expression. Strong bone, barrel ribcage, level topline leads into correctly set and carried teapot tail. Beautifully put down, coat of correct texture. Best mover in this class.

His muzzle has sufficient length, with a slightly tilted-up nose with wide-open nostrils. His topline was firm with ample depth of chest and ribs reaching well back. He moved out with ease and a good stride.

His head is masculine and balanced giving good expression, pleasing flow of neck into shoulder, level topline, strong loin, good tailset and carriage. His movement is smooth and flowing with a good arrogant style about it. RES CC.

1st Junior Dog2025Northern Counties Shih Tzu ClubMrs S Keree-BartoloG/W dog, I liked the size, shape and balance of this dog, he moved freely with good extension and drive showing full pads, he had a lovely rounded head with a dark round eye spaced well apart, well set nose with wide open nostrils, giving a sweet expression, he had a correct bite and wide jaw. I liked his length of neck, shoulder placement, and return of upper arm, level topline, good depth of brisket, spring and length of rib. Good tail set and carriage.
2nd Junior Dog2025CruftsMiss S Bird12mth G/W who pushed 1 hard. Lovely size and balance. Another with the head I was looking for, dark, round eyes with good width between. Correct length and width of muzzle and good mouth. He too just flows down his neck, into his shoulders which are well laid. Good topline, tailset and hindquarters. Moved well. Just needs a little more time and finish to complete the picture.

2nd Post Graduate Dog2025Shih Tzu ClubMr G RobertsonSimilar proportions to 1, eyes set well apart, just preferred the skull of 1 but this dog has wide dark open nostrils, moderate width of muzzle, nicely made front, good bone, ribs, correct neck set, holds his top-line, low slung in body, good texture to his coat, steady mover, just a little bit wide in front, two nice dogs.

He is sturdy with a level topline with a good tail set and expression. He has good angulations fore and aft with broad chest well let down. He has ample bone and holds his shape both stacked and on the move. Moved soundly in all aspects. Lost out for Best Puppy Dog as preferred the expression of the Minor puppy.

Still needs to drop into his hindquarters. Excellent coat. Strong and positive mover, carrying himself well.
1st Minor Puppy Dog2024STC Summer Open ShowMrs D Whincup8 month old gold and white male, full of quality and breed type. I really liked her head and expression, enhanced by her width and tilt to nose and muzzle which generates the hairs on it to grow upwards forming the chrysanthemum look. Eyes dark, round and set well, leathers blend in to her neck fur. Straight forelegs sat on good sound round feet, nice depth to chest, ribbed well back, loin strong, strength behind with straight hocks. He drives well behind, with his arrogant smooth stride. Alot to like.
