based on what they saw on the day of the show.
| Thank you to the Officers and Committee for the kind invitation to Judge my own breed this year at East of England Showground. Grateful thanks also to my lovely stewards for keeping everything moving efficiently. They contributed highly to a very enjoyable day for the exhibitors. My admiration goes to all the exhibitors who gave their best in what was one of the hottest days of the year. The little dogs coped very well with the heat and I am happy to say breathing only affected a couple of the exhibits. My thoughts about the breed as a whole, as a result of my judging on the day, was that we have still some way to go to get the all-important good angulation on fronts. I was pleased that many had the prominent fore chest and well-let down giving good width. However, this like all good things too much becomes a fault and so some were out at elbow and had short upper arm. Forward movement did not always display the reach that gives a balanced outline in fact a few struggled to move without rocking. Rear angulation was better on most of the exhibits which of course is the driving force and how the dog starts its movement. To be powerful needs muscle and I was sad to note that quite a lot did not have the nice round thigh that surely is needed to drive them on. Some very close behind which is so incorrect for movement. I was pleased to see that width of jaw has improved somewhat which helps the dentition, although there is still thought needed when selecting to improve this in the breeding plan. |

| 1st | Ch. Thaisu’s Blinding Light | 11 months old Solid Gold with Black Mask. What a lovely outline he makes, he has a strong correct skull, beautiful expression, dark eyes and well placed nose. Good forechest, well let down, just enough neck flowing into good lay of shoulder and on into a level top line. He has a nicely rounded rib which is also of good length. Nicely coupled. He is mature for his age, well balanced on the move carrying his tail proudly. Overall a very impressive youngster who gained BPIB. |
| 2nd | Peekin Jazz-A-Matazz-Tu | 10 month old rich red/gold and white boy who has a nice round head, open features with lovely dark eye. He has a good forechest and well let down into the brisket giving a good width. I particularly liked his overall balance, not so mature in body yet as no.1 but will I am sure fill out more in the coming months, he is young still and has so much to look forward to. He is so nicely balanced, great lift to his tail which he carries so well on the move. |

| 1st | Ch. Santosha Memory of Love | 1 year old Solid Gold, quality boy with an exquisite head and melting expression. The width of skull is particularly noted with a nicely padded muzzle and width to jaw lending him good dentition. He has a very typical outline with very good head to tail balance standing and on the move. Very good forechest, well let down. Good round rib and ribbed back. Nice flowing movement. |
| 2nd | Marhilway Driving Edge At Jacquinta JW | 18 month old Red and White boy, also so much quality about this boy with many of the attributes of No. 1. He has a lovely soft expression good width to his head with good nose placement and good width to jaw. A good moving boy with level topline and good balance on the move. I feel he is still developing and there is more to come when he has the final finish to his coat furnishings. Worth watching this young man. |
| Res | Keola Cruz Control JW | A year old Gold and white, open features, large broad skull well-spaced eyes. I wouldn’t want him any bigger and at a year old he may be finished in size now. He is well proportioned, with a level topline. A fit little boy who moved well. Very nicely put down and handled well. BSp.Beg. Dog |

| 1st | Keola Cruz Control JW | A year old Gold and white, open features, large broad skull well-spaced eyes. I wouldn’t want him any bigger and at a year old he may be finished in size now. | 2nd | Mapimakastar Jason Mio | At a year and 9 months he is mature, nicely made, I would just like a bit more forechest. He has a nice head, muzzle of good width. Good tail-set. He kept level on the move, although a tad close at the rear. |

| 1st | Ch. Cremefern Trigger A Storm At Symaraju JW | 21 months Gold and White boy who has a lovely shaped head and a kind, soft expression. Dark eyes that follow you intently. Plenty of quality here excellent forechest well let down, good length of rib and firm coupling. Nicely rounded thighs and good bend of stifle. A balanced outline both standing and on the move. |
| 2nd | Santosha Dark Secret With Coursani | At 22 months this Solid Black boy displays a really nice outline, well balanced with good length of rib and short coupled. Just needs a little more lift to his tail. A beautifully shaped head with the desired width giving good width of jaw and good dentition. A nice expression which could only be improved by a rounder eye. |
| 3rd | Mapimakastar Jason Mio | At a year and 9 months he is mature, nicely made, I would just like a bit more forechest. He has a nice head, muzzle of good width. Good tail-set. He kept level on the move, although a tad close at the rear. |

| 1st | Ch. Paliden Simply A Star With Wharfeview | 2 year old Solid Gold boy a lovely type with proportions for me that are just right. Excels in rib and forechest, nice straight legs at front so well made with really firm coupling and thigh. This little dog is super fit and clearly well exercised judging by his firm thighs, good return of stifle. So very sound on the move with a lovely tailset. A lovely head with melting expression, fabulous dentition. |
| 2nd | Ch. Warathwaite The Kingslayer (Bel,Lux, UK) | 2 years old Red/Gold and White. As with No.1 this boy must enjoy regular exercise as he is well made firm body on top of good construction. His front is similar to no.1. A lovely head with open soft expression, good dentition. A good mover, although I have seen him move better. He is a little taller than No 1 although not outside the standard. He missed out on movement as no 1 was on top form. I feel top honours will come for both of these young boys. |

| 1st | Ch. Minfaa Sundance Kid | 2 year old Gold and White boy is just top quality. So much my kind of Shih Tzu from the top of his head to the tip of his tail it was a pleasure to meet him today. He was the ‘special’ one today with a really masculine skull so much to fill my hand, Masculine but lovely soft expression, beautiful eyes. It is a combination I think is hard to achieve. Dentition also very good which comes from that width all through. Neck and shoulder flowing into a strong back with good rib and well ribbed back. He has such wonderful balance both standing and on the move giving a smooth flowing action. I found him to have an excellent handful of forechest well let down and strong rear angulation with plenty of muscle. My choice for the DCC and BOB |
| 2nd | Marbo Whatever You Want | 3 years old Red and White and what a boy. I honestly was spoiled for choice today in this class and this boy stood out as top drawer. He is nicely balanced with style oozing out of him. His head is wide and his expression is soft and he also has very good dentition. Good body firm on the loin and well ribbed back. So beautifully turned out, accredit to his owner/handler. He was not as strong on rear movement as the winner of this class. |

| 1st | Ch. Miracey Zero Hour | A 5 year old, rich Gold and White boy who again is top drawer. Superb balance standing and moving. Scores highly on head proportions, wide open expression expressive eyes, good nose placement and correct dentition. Excellent forechest, correct round rib of good length, into firm loin. Very strong rear angulation and good musculature. Scored tops on Head to tail balance. Move with purpose and style. He wears his crown well. RDCC |
| 2nd | Ch. Debeaux Having A Ball | 4 year old Solid Black boy who exudes quality. He commands attention entering the ring, a real eye catching dog. He is so super sound, well made in firm body condition. So balanced head to tail, well laid shoulder into strong back, well rounded rib going back to firm loin. This boy’s body condition is superb and a credit to his owners. Didn’t have enough cards to go round today and this boy was certainly deserving as his Champion status would prove. |

| 1st | Ch. Keytor All That Jazz | 9 and a half years young is how I would describe this Red/Gold and White boy. He is just so very special and is still out there strutting like a much younger dog. Super moving dog, so well proportioned, well angulated fore and aft giving a lovely balanced outline. His rib is excellent, topline level, firm loin is such good condition. He has a lovely open expression with excellent round eye, well padded muzzle and good dentition. An excellent example of the breed who is a worthy champion. He could certainly still hold his own in the Open class but he has nothing to prove. A very sound boy, thank you for giving me the chance to meet him today. BVD |
| 2nd | Ch. Artelino Moomins Adventure | 7 year old Gold and White boy who has a lovely outline standing with a strong broad skull with a soft expression. Good rib and loin. I particularly like his tailset which balanced well with his head. He lost out on movement to No.1 who was more brisk and flowing today. |

| 1st | Santosha Sunkissed At Miracey | Beautiful Gold and white puppy at 9 months old. She is beautifully constructed with the loveliest expression. A lovely headpiece giving the round shape desired in a Shih Tzu. Whilst stacked she displays a true outline, balanced well head to tail and a level topline. Good body all through. She moves with so much style and purpose BPIB |
| 2nd | Ch. Coursani Sand Queen (UK/JSY) | So very similar to No.1 just a tad bigger but still so many breed qualities to like. As with the first she has correct balance. Melting expression, lovely eyes. Good rib all through. Very well angulated front and rear. Lots of promise for the future. |

| 1st | Thaisu’s Black Rose For Kimevan | 11 months solid black with a lovely head shape, wonderful expression, she really holds your gaze with those dark melting eyes. She is well angulated fore and rear with a level topline, good tailset. She moved out well showing full pads. Once her coat is finished she will complete a very nice picture. |
| 2nd | Debeaux Precious Time | 10 months old, another solid black puppy, again with a super expression, nicely spaced eyes in a round headpiece. Good jaw with the desired width giving good dentition. She has a good forechest well let down, rib is good, round and ribbed back. She moved well. |

| 1st | Wharfeview Simply Red | 14 months Solid Red presents a lovely frame and one of the best body conditions today. She has a soft melting expression in a lovely round skull. She is well balanced head to tail and can move out with purpose. Going over her rear angulation I found the muscle that testifies the strong driving action this girl showed today. Very sound all through and a credit to her owner. |
| 2nd | Ch. Rossvale Little Black Dress | 14 months exquisite little black and white girl who is smaller in proportion than No. 1 but this does not detract from her very good conformation, she is well balanced with good rib. I loved her head and well-spaced expressive eyes. She moved well but just out-performed by the first placed girl. |

| 1st | Mapimakastar Suzie Hugo | 2 year old Gold and white. She has a very feminine head, with lovely eyes giving a soft yet cheeky expression. I would say she is just at the top end of leg height for me but everything looks balanced and in proportion. She has a level topline with good head to tail balance. She has good bone, ribbed up well and a very good bend of stifle. Moved out well showing full pads. Very nicely presented and moved. Best Special Beginners in Breed |
| 2nd | Chanikos Poket Full O Dreams for Shanjora | 3 years old Gold and white girl who is finer than no. 1. She makes a lovely outline with a very nice tailset. She is very feminine with a lovely expression. Good rib and stifle. She is narrower in jaw than I would like. |

| 2nd | Matsuba Crowning Glory At Shidizzle | 1 years and 9 months Gold and white. Very similar to No.1 in proportions although no.1 had more forechest so front reach better. She has a lovely expression, similar headpiece as before. She is moving nicely and getting more confidence on the table. She is at the in-between stage with coat. She moved well. |

| 1st | Paliden Golden Showers | 2 years 7 months old Solid gold of lovely proportions, good balance, very nice tail set. She has a most beautiful head, lovely eyes and expression. A nicely padded muzzle and good width to jaw. She is spot on for size and bone, nice round rib into a firm loin. Very nice bend of stifle, driving her round, she was the best mover in this class. |

Paliden Bucks Fizz To Ekland JW | 4 years old, Solid Gold with a feminine and eye catching head and expression, has the warmth from beautiful dark round eyes but with an aloofness from the chin. She is so well balanced moving, the best mover in this class. Good bone well angulated fore and rear. She has the roundness and length of rib that I was hoping to find and she is not short on muscle. I couldn’t deny her the top award today as my eyes just kept returning to her in the line up. BCC & BOS |
| 2nd | Thaisu Gothic Witch | A 2 and half year old gold and white girl who is so well put together, good bone, well angulated, nicely ribbed up. Excellent bend of stifle giving the desired drive for rear movement. She has a nice expression with large dark round eyes, good width of jaw, padded muzzle. |

| 1st | Ch. Centastage Just Imagine (Dutch Vet Ch) | Red and white and at 4 years old she has matured beautifully. A good skull of ample width, broad at the eyes giving a pleasing expression. Well padded muzzle and good wide jaw with very good dentition. Good bone throughout very well angulated. Full forechest, well-let down into brisket, good lay of shoulder, a lovely round rib and well ribbed back. So well balanced with the best tail set I considered today. She is a strong steady mover and is beautifully presented. RBCC |

She has a beautifully proportioned head with a lovely soft expression. Very well put down and handled. She lost out on movement in my final decision. |

| 1st | Ch. Miracey Fruity Kisses | Gold and white 11 years old and showing as beautifully as ever. She is in such good form continuing to dazzle her audience. She has a beautiful head. Dark, round eyes, and an expression to die for. She has very good bone, a fabulous front with good forechest, well let down. Lovely round rib which is well ribbed back. Stifle good and strong thigh. She moved with purpose. Finishing touches to furnishings excellent. BVIB |
| 2nd | Lyndatzu Charisma | 9 year old red/gold and white girl of slightly larger proportion although still within our desired standards. She has such a lovely expression with dark eyes that keep a hold of you. Plenty of bone and condition on this lady. She is nicely balanced, head held proudly and the desired tail set. Good angulation giving a free and easy movement. |
